Welcome to Hangmate India Pvt Ltd ("Hangmate", "we", "us"). By using our website and application, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of India to use this platform. You must provide valid Government-issued Identification (Aadhaar/PAN) when requested for KYC verification.

2. Nature of the Platform

Hangmate acts strictly as an intermediary technology platform (a marketplace) connecting individuals seeking platonic companionship (Clients) with those offering it (Companions).

Companions are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Hangmate.

We do not direct, control, or employ the Companions.

3. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HANGMATE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, ONLINE OR OFFLINE.

While we mandate KYC verification, we do not conduct criminal background checks. You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions. By using the platform, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hangmate India Pvt Ltd, its founders, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, physical harm, or emotional distress arising from your Hangouts.

4. Platform Fees and Taxes

Hangmate charges a platform fee (commission) on every completed transaction. Companions are solely responsible for declaring their income and remitting any applicable taxes (such as GST or Income Tax) to the Government of India.

5. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, freeze funds, or permanently ban any account that violates our Platonic Policy, attempts to bypass the platform's payment system, or receives consistently low Trust Scores, without prior notice.
